Pink Roses Wedding Cake
This is my first wedding cake! My first big three tier cake covered in pale pink fondant. Roses and blossoms all made with fondant. Top tier is lemon, middle tier is chocolate and the bottom tier is vanilla.
This was very nerve wracking for me as it was my first wedding cake. I had to assemble on site as the reception location was up several flights of stairs so I was not able to transport the cake stacked. And thank goodness I didn't have to transport this cake assembled cake as it was sooo heavy!
I got there about 4 hours before the reception started and thank goodness I started early as I got the assembly done and just started on the decorating as a huge flurry of people came to decorate the place, set up speakers and balloons and arches in the same area. At times it was hard to stay focused with loud hip hop music blasting from the speakers :) And at times it was hard for me to decorate under the scrutiny of people watching me.
Overall I was really pleased with the way the cake turned out but of course I can see all the flaws and would definitely change things if I had to do it over again. Lots of lessons learned!

WEDDING GIFT BOX
Although I specialize in quilled jewelry, I have expanded to make a few additional things.
This adorable little shadowbox cube is an absolutely perfect way to give the new couple a monetary gift. Cards are nice, but they're looked at once and then tucked away. On the other hand, each time they use this little box to store their trinkets, they'll think of you!
The lovely quilled bells and "ribbons" are done in ivory and soft green. What a unique gift idea!!

Wedding Cake- Burgandy floral
Again, another 9 inch and 6 inch round- seems to be my most popular.
The bride wanted the stripes from the Winnie the Pooh color scheme shower cake- but "weddified"- she supplied the (silk) flowers, so I pulled the colors from there.
I'm not liking my background color- I need to change that- too dark!

Springtime Bridal Shower Cake
This cake is for a cousins bridal shower. I was told the colors were going to be orange & yellow and the flowers were to be daisys and wildflowers....I was also told to just do a sheet cake- which of course, I don't do well- so this is what I came up with.
The bottom layer is an 8 inch square and the top a 6 inch round. I used cookie cutters to "emboss" the fondant and made simple bows for borders, and silk flowers on top.

Pearlized for shimmer...I was skeptical of this color combo but I think they are very beautiful together...
